Indoor Marijuana Plants – Are seeds” target=”_blank”>Regular Seedlings Better?
A lot of people don’t realize it, but cannabis is classified into two different varieties: indica and sativa. Indica is the cannabis plant that contains the most delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This compound has been shown to be the major active ingredient in marijuana. Sativa on the other hand, is mostly found in India and Pakistan and is not widely used in the United States.
Regular cannabis seed contains more than 95% indica and the rest is sativa. The main difference is however that from an indica-dominant seed only female plants should come out, whereas from a regular–seed only male or intersex or hermaphroditic or both male and female can come out. Regular seeds come only from the cross between a female (XO) and a male (KO), so that their genetic material contains both sexes and they will produce only one or the other. However, they do have one trait in common with indica plants, in that they are generally slower to grow.
Indica is usually referred to as being a “high” type of cannabis, as it has a high level of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which has an instant and powerful effect on the human body. Sativa on the other hand, is known to be more relaxed and calm, which means that it is more suited to those who want to meditate or relax.
Regular cannabis seed contains higher levels of cannabinol (CBN) than indica-dominant ones. CBN is the chemical compound responsible for the “high”, and it’s also the compound that causes the brain to release a chemical called “delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol”. This chemical has been shown to act as a stimulant on the brain and cause the receptors in the brain to fire up which leads to a sense of euphoria, comfort and relaxation.
While cannabinol does cause some of these effects, the best way to get a feel good is through the “psychomnipotent” properties of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. This is what cannabis is actually derived from, and is the chemical that gives us the “high”. It’s also the most potent of all the substances in the cannabis plant, meaning that it has the highest possible amount of CBN.
The potency of this substance is what makes it more difficult to grow and process, so it’s hard to find regular seeds that have enough of it in them for anyone to use. It’s also the reason why it can be so expensive when you’re growing a plant from seed, because it takes such a long time. And if you really want a higher level of THC you have to purchase it from someone who grows into a huge plant.
It seems that most of the people who grow indica cannabis tend to prefer using buds instead of seeds, because they produce a much bigger buzz and the potency in bud tends to be a lot lower than that of an indica. Buds can be grown in indoor environments, so they’re cheaper to grow and much easier to deal with.
While there are many arguments about the quality and consistency of indices versus sativas, it’s obvious that indices are generally more expensive. However, many people who smoke marijuana know that this is better for them, as they get a faster high, feel better and sleep more soundly.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that if you go through a lot of indices growing it will definitely affect the potency and quality of your plant. You will need to buy a lot more indica seeds than you would if you were growing a regular seedling. It’s usually best to start with a small amount and grow up slowly until you’re able to do without it.
As far as sativas go, some of the seeds don’t do too well outside of the tropics, so it’s important to check to make sure the location you’re growing in will support it. Sativa indicas, however, are generally more resilient, and do well in most climates.
If you choose to grow your indoor plant from a regular seed, be sure to try different strains of marijuana as you grow your indoor plant. The more different strains you try, the more you’ll get used to the different characteristics of the plants.
